Our Athletes

Our Endurance Athletes are from all different backgrounds and skill levels. We measure our athletes for who they truly are inside and out.

What sets our athletes apart is a burning desire to elevate themselves. A constant push to grow and develop. All the while helping others along the way, and bringing as many up around them as they can.

Get to know some of our athletes. Connect with them on social media. I guarantee that every single one of them would be happy to hear from you and thrilled if they have the ability to help you out on your personal journey.

Casey Kahsen

Casey is a literal endurance athlete. He is happily married, a father of 2, and works full time for DHS. Even with all that he still finds time to put in the training time to chase his first Ironman.

What sets Casey apart though is his relentless approach to life. Nothing will stop this guy once he gets put to task.

You either get better or worse in a day so the choice is up to you

That statement that Casey uses often sums up his life to this point and he will continue to grow and push his boundaries while helping others along the way.

History:

I began my athletic career playing baseball. My career spanned more than 20 years and included 4 years of college and 2 years of independent professional baseball as well. During this time I ran and was heavy into strength training. In order to stay conditioned for baseball.

I ran my first 5k with my wife in ~2013 and have since been bitten by the endurance sports bug. We ran many 5k and 10ks together and then did our first half marathon in 2016. During that time I also did 3 Ragnar relay races, these races dipped into endurance  beyond just single races. All 3 i ran more than 20 miles as i would pick up legs for missing runners etc. I did another half in 2018 and knew I wanted to go further and do my first full marathon.

I signed up for the Richmond, VA full in November 2019. I began training in June for this race with the goal of breaking 4 hours. In typical fashion, in the middle of marathon training my wife and I decided to sign up for a half ironman in june. In more typical fashion, I also decided that I needed to do a full in addition to the half. I signed up for Ironman Maryland which was supposed to run in September of 2020. The year had different plans though, and all races were canceled due to Covid19.

2021 season includes Ironman Blueridge 70.3 VA on June 6, Ironman Maryland 140.6 September 18, and Ironman NC 70.3 October 17. Two of these races I will be doing with my wife (both 70.3s). While the race season is over, the season to get better and achieve all the goals I set forth will continue to March forward.
